Welcome to another exciting year of Junior Olympic Volleyball! We are looking forward to our 19th Club Falcon season beginning in February. Please read through the following information regarding our upcoming season and let us know if you have any questions.
What is Junior Olympic Volleyball?
Junior Olympic Volleyball is a program sponsored by USA Volleyball to teach the sport of volleyball to youth. This year our teams will be insured through Junior Volleyball Association (JVA). JVA provides lectures, seminars and clinics to train competitive coaching, playing, and officiating techniques.
What spring teams typically are available with Club Falcons?
2 -11s – starting tentatively February 21st (4th and 5th graders)
2 – 12s - starting tentatively February 21st (6th graders)
2 – 13s - starting tentatively February 21st (7th graders)
2 – 14s - starting tentatively February 21st (8th graders)
High School Teams – teams and number of teams at each age level will be determines by both age (not necessarily grade) and skill level. Season will start in late February
What will it cost and why?
There are many fees involved with running a club. These fees include but are not limited to: coach and assistant fees, jerseys and tournament fees. If you have any further questions regarding the fee breakdown please let us know.
∙ All Team fees: $420.00 **fundraising opportunity to cover fees**
Each family will have the opportunity to sell Kwik Trip Car Wash cards to help cover part or all of the fees. 28 total cards covers your entire fee. If you are a super seller, any cards sold beyond the 28 would be considered a donation to the Club.
Families will be required to volunteer at our home tournament. Each family will need to provide a deposit check of $100 before tryouts. Once you have completed your volunteer hours your check will be destroyed.
We are also requiring a uniform deposit of $50. Once you hand in your jersey at the end of the season your check will be destroyed.
If you do not complete your volunteer hours or return your jersey your deposit check will then be cashed.
**Volunteer & Uniform deposit checks need to be turned in at or before Tryouts.**
The tryout fee of $10 cash is due at the time of tryouts. Team fees need to be set up online prior to your daughter trying out.
This year we will be doing payments all online; club falcons will be covering all credit card fees. We will offer the option of full payment or installments. We are requiring the first payment be made prior to tryouts. The next two payments will be on Jan 1st and Feb 1st. If all fees are not paid in full by Feb 1st 2024, the player will be dropped from the team. There will be NO REFUNDS for quitting or changing your mind after tryouts are completed. Refunds will be issued if your daughter does not make a team.
11's & 12's: $150 due before tryouts, $150 on Jan 1st & $120 on Feb 1st
13's - 18's: $150 due before tryouts, $150 on Jan 1st & $120 on Feb 1st
What is my time commitment?
Teams will practice at least twice a week (typically Mondays and Thursdays). Practices will be held at the Middle and High Schools. When schedules are passed out, it will be noted where your child’s practice will be held.
Teams will practice approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours
How to participate?
To make tryouts go smoothly please have your child registered no later than Friday November 8th at 11:59pm.
4th - 6th grades will attend tryouts on Saturday November 9th from 12:30p-1:45p at FHS in North Gymnasium. Girls should arrive at 12:00p to get checked in. Girls must be completely registered online.
7th-11th grades will attend tryouts on Saturday November 9th from 2:15p-4:00p at FHS in Nomeland Gymnasium. Please arrive at 1:45p to get checked in. Girls must be completely registered online.
Teams will be posted on the website Monday November 10th at 7:00p. Click under the tab “Club Falcons Volleyball”, then “Teams”. You will receive an e-mail when teams are posted.
Registration & Tryouts
This year all registration will take place online. All paperwork must be electronically signed before tryouts take place. If your daughter wants to try on a uniform we will have them at the Informational Meeting and at check-in.
The following guidelines also apply:
Team fees are due at the time of tryouts. By completing try-outs you are agreeing to play on a club team and are responsible for your child’s team fee. If a player has divorced parents, it is the parents’ responsibility to coordinate full payment for the child prior to the registration session.
Checks are not accepted this year; you must pay online through the registration form at Faribaultfalconvolleyball.com under the registration tab - Club Falcons will pay for the associated credit card fees.
Program fees for players who are not placed on a team will be returned.

Tryouts:
Players are to come half an hour before tryouts for check in.
NO parents will be allowed to watch players while tryouts are in session.
Players must be picked up promptly from tryouts.
Players must be free from any illness
Coaches will follow illness protocol.
Tournament Scheduling: After your daughter is placed on a team, the club director will send out an e-mail to each team asking for any dates that DO NOT WORK. We will try our best to schedule tournaments where the entire team is present. Please note that the week of Spring Break we may need to schedule something on one of the weekends.
